We spent a fantastic winter week in Zermatt in the beautifully furnished and well situated Chalet Rütschi. The apartment was very cozy and stylish and was also extremely well equipped. Getting to all the lift stations in Zermatt was very easy, as the building is ideally situated in the heart of Zermatt. After an enjoyable days skiing we could either dive into one of the many great après-ski bars in the area or warm up back at the apartment in the sauna. Getting out of bed in the morning was sometimes tough – the bed was extremely comfortable! Once we were up we could enjoy a nice breakfast at home with fresh bread from the bakery next door. We were very sad when we had to leave – Zermatt is an incredible resort with lots to offer and staying in such a great apartment just made the whole holiday even more of a dream.

For our yearly friends get-together we decided to stay at the Castle Mercurey that caught our attention the very first second we saw it online. With our group of 11 adults, 3 kids and 1 baby we found more than enough space to feel at home and at the same time enjoy a week as the king of the castle. We were stunned by what the property and its surroundings had to offer: A billard table, a Ping Pong table, a gym, a sauna, a heated outdoor pool, a barbecue, a Playstation 3, satellite TV and lots of games and toys for the kids to play. Should you decide to make a day trip then you will find plenty of vineyards that invite to taste the delicious wines of the region. Or if you prefer to be more active on your holidays then the lovely scenery calls for a bike trip or a run along the vineyards.
