Family-friendly bathing resort with 5'100 inhabitants, 5 km south from Royan, 15 km south from St Palais sur mer, 82 km south from La Rochelle. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Royan is at the mouth of the estuary of the Gironde, in the Poitou- Charentes part. This is the largest estuary in Europe. The station is located opposite the Pointe de Grave and Medoc, location and land of famous wines such as Médoc, Haut-Médoc, Saint-Estèphe, Saint-Julien, Listrac, Moulis, Margaux and many others...At only 65 km from Cognac, eponyme of the world famous "eau-de -vie".
