Town with 52'851 inhabitants, in the south-western part of the island, directly by the sea. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Disco, folklore evenings, concerts, museum, cinema, attractions. Ajaccio is situated 170 km south of the French mainland and 82 km from the Italian border. Boat moorings must be reserved in advance during July and August. Ajaccio is the capital of the island and benefits from a wonderful position in a bay with the same name.
