General info

Wingst is a vast rural and wooded region in which 14 villages amalgamated form the holiday destination of Wingst. Wingst itself is climatic health resort, in the interior 21 km from the sea, 40 km from Stade, 93 km from Hamburg, 120 km from Bremen. All shops, restaurants etc. in Stade. In the resort: shops. Indoor aquatic centre. Bathing in the river Elbe with sandy beach (20 km) and in the North Sea (Cuxhaven, 35 km). A variety of excursion destinations are close-by. For example, the Wingst zoo, the theatre barn in Otterndorf (20 km) or the waterskiing complex in Neuhaus (6 km). Also easy to reach are the towns of Bremerhaven (74 km), Bremen and Hamburg as well as the island of Helgoland (boat from Cuxhaven), ahich are all worth a visit.

Summer

Germany's only lake below sea level (-60 cm) with ideal angling is only 4 km away from the "Knaus Campingpark Wingst".
