Private: garden 400 m2, swimming pool (7 x 3 m, depth 120 cm, seasonal availability: 11.Jun. - 14.Oct.). Garden furniture, barbecue. Heating to be paid on the spot, heating available only from 01.Nov. - 15.Apr.. Motor access to the house (1 km via unmade road). Parking on the premises. Grocery 5 km, supermarket 5 km, railway station "Certaldo" 5 km. Nearby attractions: San Gimignano 15 km, Badia a Passignano 25 km, San Donato in Poggio 27 km, Siena 50 km, Firenze 60 km.

Location Description Certaldo

Certaldo, in the centre of the Elsa valley, comprises of a new part situated in the valley and a historical centre situated on the upper levels. Every year, in July there is a multicoloured medieval fair. The village is famous because the well known writer Giovanni Boccaccio, author of "Decamerone" was born there. Historical resort with 15'000 inhabitants, in the centre of the region, on top of a hill, 50 km south-west from Firenze, 50 km north-west from Siena. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Thermal bath oder hot springs at 9 km.

Très jolie panorama sur la Toscane, mais le logement n'est pas adapté pour plus de 2 personnes. Les chambres à l'étage sont étouffantes, surtout la chambre verte. Nous étions 4 et 2 personnes on dormi au rez-de-chaussée dans le canapé convertible avec une espèce de climatisation mobile. Les fenêtres ne ferment pas bien. Une vrai climatisation, pour l'ensemble du logement ne serai pas un luxe. Aucun rangement pour les hôtes. Les armoires était fermés à clés et réservé pour les propriétaires.

Endroit calme. Magnifique vue sur les vignes et les champs d'oliviers. Location bien orientée lors des fortes chaleurs. Terrasse agréable et maison fonctionnelle. Il ne manque rien. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour et il y a de nombreuses visites possibles à faire aux alentours. Très bon vin chez P., G. et leur maman viticulteurs juste en bas du chemin qui mène à la propriété. Piscine top. K. et D. sont des hôtes très sympas et disponibles.

This property has spectacular views from the house. Traveling the unnamed road to the house is quite an experience. It is through the vineyards, so that is to be expected. The first floor is as advertised and was enjoyable. Access to the 2nd floor bedrooms are not suitable for anyone who is not very agile. Climbing the circular staircase everyday was not pleasant. The carpet on the stairs needed to be replaced as they are a tripping hazard. Also, a French bed is just an oversized twin.
