Well-known, busy, family-friendly town and holiday village with 67'000 inhabitants, in the south-western part of the region, directly by the sea, in a convenient position, 85 km south-west from Málaga, 25 km west from Marbella. Inaugurated in 1999, is the Selwo Aventura theme park and zoo, with more than 100 hectares and more than 1000 animals in semi-freedom conditions, in different ecosystems. In its commitment to culture, it offers us curious and imaginative murals that decorate city buildings of various kinds, sculptures and museums such as the Mirador del Carmen exhibition center with the Carmen Thyssen exhibition on Spanish authors, a paleontological museum, an ethnographic museum or archeological Museum.
