Shower/WC, bath/shower/WC. Large terrace. Terrace furniture. Very beautiful panoramic view of the mountains. Facilities: hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only.

Apartment block "Bergfrieden", built in 2012. 600 m from the centre of Wengen, in a quiet, sunny position on a slope. In the house: lift, central heating system, washing machine, tumble dryer. Pre-arrival grocery service. Shop, supermarket 600 m, restaurant, bar 400 m, bakery 600 m, 7 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Lauterbrunnen (by train)" 3.6 km, railway station "Wengen" 600 m, outdoor swimming pool 900 m. Cable car, skisport facilities 600 m. Please note: car-free holiday complex. Arrival via mountain railway. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen – 14 minutes driving time.

1'274 m a.s.l. >>Famous, idyllic, car-free holiday resort with 1'300 inhabitants, on top of a hill, situated at the foot of a mountain, on a plateau with beautiful view, 12 km from Interlaken, 15 km from Grindelwald. In the resort: shops, grocery, bakery, post office, bank, restaurant, night club, cinema. Wellness centre. Besides: doctor. Sights Männlichen, Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Trümmelbachfälle, Schynige Platte, Harder, First. Access: no access to the resort by car, reachable only by railway. The journey is made by rack railway (extra) from Lauterbrunnen. Parking spaces available at the train station.

Summer

Heated outdoor swimming pool. Tennis (2 outdoor courts). Minigolf. Paragliding. Mountain lifts, cableways, hiking paths, mountain hikes, mountain tours, climbing, children's hiking paths. Mountain bikes for hire. Children's playground.

Winter

Ski-region Jungfrau-Top Ski Region, total of 43 lifts. Total 213 km ski runs (30 % easy, 50 % intermediate, 20 % difficult), snow park. Ski school (downhill), snowboard school, children's ski school, ski kindergarten. Winter walking paths 50 km. 4 toboggan runs. Artificial ice rink, curling. Free parking space for skis and ski boots at Central Sport.

A nice well appointed, clean apartment with 2 rooms, one en-suite, large living area and small kitchenette. It's at the top end of the village, a good uphill walk from the station. We had our baggage in backpacks and walked to it. If you have suitcases you might be better with a Taxi, there are a couple in Wengen The "Cevi youth organisation has a large building (for 55 kids) just across from the Chalet, occasional you would hear them but they were no real problem.

Voor derde jaar achter elkaar hier geweest. Beviel altijd zeer goed, paar nadelen: er is geen sfeerverlichting in de woonkamer, een magnetron ontbreekt en je hoort de voetstappen van de bovenburen. Dit jaar was de jeugd in de nabij gelegen Chalets vrij druk. We zijn wel bezorgd over al de bouwplannen achter en naast Bergfrieden (er staan veel "stokken"). Dat geeft veel bouwverkeer van stinkende en lawaaierige diesel vrachtautotjes. We twijfelen of we hier nog terug willen...

This apartment was perfect for us. 2 bedrooms of nice size and 2 bathrooms- 1 large and 1 small. Beds were comfortable, pillows okay. Apartment was furnished with good seating- plenty for 4 people. Kitchen was well-equipped. All was very clean. Outdoor balcony with large table and seating was wonderful with a beautiful view of the mountains. This house was in a very nice area- quiet and shaded. A good walk from the train station and uphill, but worked for us. Washer and dryer downstairs!

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment very much. Although it is quite an uphill hike from the train station, the views and location is excellent. The apartment was clean, well-kept and had everything we needed. Especially liked having laundry facilities. The communication with inter-home was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortabel 10 jaar oud appartement, met groot balkon en prachtig uitzicht op de bergen. Zeker voor twee personen mooi ruim. Heerlijke douche. Vloerverwarming. Paar kleine verbeterpunten qua inrichting: * er is geen magnetron * wat sfeerverlichting in de woonmaker zou prettiger zijn. Een minpuntje zijn de contactgeluiden van de bovenburen (voetstappen). Overal liggen harde vloeren. Dus je moet het treffen, de een stampt meer dan de ander.

The apartment is very clean and well appointed with dishes and kitchen supplies. The building is about a 5-8 min walk up the hill from the train station depending on your fitness. There is a wonderful view from the large deck. There is an elevator. Laundry machine is on the ground floor. You may need to buy detergent but there was a small amount when we were there and we left more. There are two bedrooms each with two single beds. Heated towel racks are nice. They give you two keys.

Loved the place. Terrace is fabulous. The extra covid-service of delivering groceries to home was just a fantastic treat that made the stay extra special as of the first minute. Having soap available (esp during covid) and the basic necessities as salt & oil just makes it all the better. Well equipped kitchen though a cooking pan for the oven would be nice. Empty coke bottle under the couch did make us wonder on cleaning but overall, fabulous and super clean. Great bathroom.
