Summer

Silvaplana lies 1815m above sea level, at the foot of the Julier Pass in the heart of the Upper Engadine lakeland region. Located at the largest of the three Upper Engadine lakes, the town is divided into three parts of the village. Silvaplana and Surlej are located between Silvaplaner and Champfèrersee and Champfèr on the other side of the lake. From Surlej you will reach with the newly built cable railway to the 3’303m above sea level High Silvaplaner Hausberg, the Piz Corvatsch. In addition to proverbial hospitality of the approximately 900 inhabitants, in Silvaplana awaits you a pleasant high mountain climate with dry, clean air and plenty of holiday experiences. In summer, Silvaplana is one of the most popular surfing spots in Europe and regular surfcracks from all over the world find their way to the shores of Lake Silvaplana. All watersports available in 1 - 20 km. Sailing, surfing, sailing school, rowing, river rafting. Tennis (2 outdoor courts), golf course 18 hole in Samedan 10 km, 2 more golf courses within a radius from 7 - 17 km. Fitness course. Fishing (permit required). Summer skiing in Diavolezza. Information concerning the Skipass you can find on Snowdeal Engadin, the price is subject to demand, who books early profits from interesting discounts. ski-region Corvatsch, from 1'870 m, 12 lifts in the resort, 58 lifts in the ski region. 88 ski runs in the ski region, length 350 km, snowboard slope, snow park. Ski school (downhill), snowboard school, children's ski school from 4 years old. 230 km cross country ski tracks in the region, ski walking paths, winter walking paths. Toboggan runs. Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral und hat Tiefgarage. Wohnung ist über Lift erreichbar. Sonniger Balkon mit schöner Sicht.

Absence de contact avec la personne qui gère sur place. Manque d'instruction sur les particularités du chauffage. Heureusement un aimable propriétaire très averti nous évite de geler dans l'appartement. Aucun contact possible entre samedi à 18 h et lundi à 8h.

Einrichtung und Aufteilung war ok. Leider war ein starker Brandgeruch in der ganzen Wohnung. Auf meine Beschwerde per Mail hatte ich die Antwort erhalten, dass 2 Pfannen gebrannt hätten und dann gelüfteet worden ist. Das hat bei weitem nicht gereicht! Trotz meinem Lüften war auch am 4. Tag der Brandgeruch immer noch vorhanden.Ich hatte die ganze Zeit Kopfschmerzen.

Wir haben vermisst: Wifi Briefkastenschlüssel Wasser- oder Teekrug Wasserkocher Brauchbare Kaffeemaschine Raclette- und/oder Fonduutensilien Salatschleuder Schnitzer Relativ kleines Wohnzimmer mit zu grossen Möbeln überladen. Küche sehr klein, aber es geht Sehr weiche Matratzen Schöner Balkon, leider kaum Nachmittagssonne Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen, unverständlicherweise Treppenhaus völlig überheizt ( mehr 25 Grad)

Die Wohnung ist zwar klein aber fein. Für zwei Personen passt perfekt, für 3 Personen wird’s schon eng. Wir haben schon zwei mal diese Wohnung gemietet und wir waren immer sehr zufrieden. Uns hat an nichts gefehlt. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Küche ist sehr alt und winzig. Man könnte die Küche und den Eingang der Wohnung dadurch aufwerten, indem man die Küche zum Wohnzimmer öffnet bzw. - an Stelle der Wohnzimmer und Küchentüre - eine einzige Öffnung vom Eingang zum Wohnzimmer machen und die Küche offen lassen würde (ohne störende Türe).

The apartment was as described. It's on a corner, so it has beautiful views. The washer / drier is in the bathroom, rare find. But there is fan almost always on in the kitchen that might be annoying. The TV only has satellite (German) channels. No wifi. Garage access and space for parking is a bit complicated. No bedsheet change in two weeks, we had to wash them. The apartment wasn't well cleaned.
