Exit to the terrace. 1 double bedroom with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Kitchen (3 hot plates, oven, dishwasher, freezer, electric coffee machine). Shower/WC. Terrace 15 m2 partly roofed, south facing position and west facing position. Terrace furniture. Side view of the mountains. Facilities: Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only. Maximum 1 pet/ dog allowed.

Very beautiful small apartment house "Luchre", 3 storeys. In the district of Winkelmatten 1.1 km from the centre of Zermatt, in a quiet position. In the house: storage room for skis, central heating system. Stepped path (90 steps) to the house. Grocery 400 m, supermarket 850 m, restaurant, bakery 400 m, 15 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Luchre" 65 m, railway station "Bahnhof Zermatt" 1.1 km. Mountain railway, ski rental 600 m, ski bus stop 65 m, ski school, children's ski school 850 m. Please note: no lift. Cabs cannot stop right in front of the house.

...what to expect in your holiday home?

Dear Holiday Guest,

As you travel you realise that things can be very different from country to country as well as from region to region. This is what makes travelling and holidays so interesting. Differences are also to be expected in holiday homes. The type and quality of furnishings, and the look of the property, are normally in line with local standards.
We can assure you, however, that the home you chose will meet the following minimum requirements, provided that nothing in the brochure is mentioned to suggest otherwise.

 

What should you expect to find in your holiday home?

  • Private living area, not for use by any other third party
  • Comfortable seating in the living area
  • Dining table with sufficient chairs
  • Cooking facilities with pots and pans (ovens and microwaves available only if mentioned in the description).
  • Fridge
  • Cutlery/crockery

 

 In Addition

  • Heating is available in properties that are available for rent in the winter. The cost of heating is included unless stated as an extra. In summer resorts, heating or heaters are only available when mentioned in the description and normally costs extra. No heating is available in Italy from approximately mid April to mid October.
  • TVs are only included where indicated in the description. They are usually colour. Black and white TVs are very rare but sometimes are provided and will be shown in the brochure description as «b/w».
  • Fireplaces are for use (unless «ornamental» is mentioned), though firewood normally costs extra, provided it is available, or can be bought locally.
  • “Double bedroom” = 2 separate beds pushed together or 2 single mattresses on a double base. “Room with double bed” = 1 bed for 2 people. Many homes have sofa beds (sometimes described as “double divan”) or pull out beds in the living room.
  • Holiday homes are not normally equipped with kettles and teapots. All homes have a fridge.

 

 Normal measurements for beds are:

  • Single bed: 190 x 80/90 cm
  • Double bed (1 mattress for 2 people) 190 x 140 cm
  • Double bedroom (2 mattresses) 190 x 80 cm each
  • Bunk beds are more suitable for children and can be quite small.

 

 

Parking

  • Parking is available when mentioned in the description and will be included in the rental, unless the brochure description says it will be «extra».
  • Public parking is not part of the rental agreement and we cannot guarantee this will always be available.

 

 Infrastructure

  • Facilities belonging to the holiday home or the residence, such as swimming pool, play area, tennis court etc. will be mentioned in the description and will be included in the rental unless stated as «extra» in the description.
  • Public facilities (swimming pools, tennis courts, restaurants etc.) are not part of the rental agreement and we cannot guarantee these will always be available, particularly in low season.

 

 Pets

  • The pet symbol by a property indicates that 1 pet will be permitted. If you wish to take more than 1 pet, you must check with reservations first.

 

 Weekends and Shortbreaks

  • In low season periods we can book selected properties for short breaks (minimum 3 days) and long weekends. Call your nearest Interhome reservations office to discover which properties are available for less than a week in the resort or city you wish to visit for a few days.

We did not arrive at the resort under the best circumstances. It was dark cold and snowing quite heavily. We had a lot of luggage and found the office very difficult to find; we were expecting it to be part of an hotel or apartment as stated on the correspondence it was Haus Zur Matte rather than Show more an office unit. The apartment was even harder to find and the taxi drive had to ask a local where it was. The maps show Wiestibodenweg to be a road when in fact it is little more than a poorly lit path which is NOT sign posted. We finally got to the apartment at 22.15 that night. In fairness the apartment was modern clean and quite well appointed. The lay out was 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and a pull down bed in the living area. There was NO usable clothes storage space in the living area at all. Other than placing clothing on chairs the sofa and other furniture I was left having to use some of the wardrobe space in the bedroom. This is not always convenient as you could be disturbing the occupants of the bedroom to gain access to your clothes when it is not suitable to do so !! The apartment had very little views from it due to being built around and on the ground floor. It would NOT be suitable for guests with mobility issues due to a large amount of steps up to the property. Your web site picture shows the property to be almost on its own when in fact it is very close to others and I do not believe there is any mention of steps up to it. The information book in the apartment was poor and of little help. The apartment is close to a bus stop which was a life line due to the location of the property and the buses ran regularly up until 19.30 when they stopped. I was also under the impression that all costs had been paid so was upset to find we had to pay a further 160 franks for taxes, cleaning etc. These costs were on the final invoice paper work but could have been made clearer, however they were not on the initial price of the property at booking, this may have affected my choice? Below is a yes or no choice about recommending the property to a friend. The apartment was clean comfortable and warm and I would recommend it to certain friends. I feel that Interhome in Zermatt need to do some work around better maps and the location of offices and apartments. They could run a late meat and great service as first impressions do count. I would use interhomes again now I now how you work and did have a great stay. Show less
