Galea Park

An exotic plant world, as well as numerous Mediterranean plants, make Parc Galea inviting for a walk between shady spots, refreshing fountains, and airy pavilions. The adjoining exhibition rooms provide information about the animal and plant life and the geology of Corsica. Discover the small special features in Parc Galea with the whole family. Vignale Beach

The Plage de Vignale is located in Ghisonaccia on the island of Corsica in France. It is one of the few beaches in the region that is monitored by lifeguards during the season. Additionally, it is only about 4 km from the center. The beach is easily accessible by car or bicycle. Parking is also available on site. It has good infrastructure with sun umbrellas and showers. You can also rent small paddle boats or jet skis.

Urbino Pond

The peninsula Isola Longa divides the lagoon northeast of the town Ghisonaccia on the Tyrrhenian Sea into two sections. In the north, cliffs drop steeply into the water. A channel connects the lagoon, which is up to 9 meters deep, with the sea. Numerous rare plants thrive in the coastal dunes. Cormorants, grebes, and flamingos search for food in the mudflats. Here, they encounter fishermen and hobby anglers. On the beach, you can swim and then dine in the restaurant.

The Plage de Ghisonaccia is located in the small community of Ghisonaccia on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Corsica in France. Balvella Pass

The Col de Bavella, a landmark of Corsica and 1 hour's drive from Ghisonaccia, is situated at an altitude of 1218 meters. It is a starting point for many hikes, including the famous GR20. With its panoramic views and pine forests, it is a special place. It is also possible to climb and go canyoning thanks to its rock formations. The Needles of Bavella, which dominate the pass, are the highlight of this well-known site. Near the pass, there is a refuge where you can refresh yourself.

White Sand Beach

The Arinella Bianca beach is located in the municipality of Ghisonaccia on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Corsica in France. With free parking, showers, bars, numerous restaurants, and a playground nearby, the beach is ideal for both young and old.

Hike to the rock formation Omu di Cagna

In the interior of Corsica, rugged rocky landscapes invite you to go mountain hiking. About 100 km southwest of Ghisonaccia, the rock formation "Omu di Cagna" presents an attractive, albeit challenging, destination for experienced adult hikers. With good equipment and provisions, you can safely reach the rock-spire-crowned summit and enjoy the view.

The Devil's Hole

Le Trou du Diable, known as "Devil's Hole," is a breathtakingly beautiful and natural bathing spot in Corsica. Day 1

On the east coast of Corsica, the tranquil small town of Ghisonaccia welcomes you. In the community with about 4,200 inhabitants, you can look forward to quiet and relaxing days with plenty of sunshine. The Costa Serena, the "calm coast," is just 3.5 kilometers away and can easily be reached on foot. There, a fine sandy beach awaits you, inviting you to sunbathe, swim, and relax during the warm summer months. Accordingly, a trip to the Mediterranean is recommended for the first day. Let your soul unwind in the partial shade of the tall trees, cool off by swimming in the turquoise water, or try various water sports. Diving is particularly popular, and both beginners and experienced individuals try stand-up paddling. Within walking distance, you have a choice of various restaurants and bistros, so you don't have to worry about catering on your beach day.

Day 2

The warm climate with mild winters makes Corsica a year-round paradise for hikers and nature lovers. Across the island, interesting routes for every difficulty level invite you to active nature experiences. Very close to Ghisonaccia is the Urbino salt lake. The hike from Ghisonaccia there is ideal for families with children thanks to the flat terrain. During the approximately two-hour tour, you also pass a picturesque sandy beach. It invites not only for swimming but also for searching for colorful shells. Towards the center of the island, the route from Ghisonaccia to the Bura waterfall is recommended. You can shorten the hike by driving to the parking lot. From there, you are only 45 minutes away. You will cover more than 500 meters in altitude and be rewarded at the destination with a picturesque view of the waterfall.

Day 3

For your third day in Ghisonaccia, a day trip to the south of Corsica is worthwhile. The port city of Porto-Vecchio, with more than 11,000 inhabitants, is one of the largest cities on the French Mediterranean island. It is rich in cultural highlights and has a beautiful old town. By car, you are just over an hour away. Stroll through the historic center and take a look at the preserved parts of the city fortifications, which, like the Bastion de France, date back to the time of Genoese rule over Corsica. Particularly worth seeing is the former gate to the city, the Porte Génoise, from which you can enjoy a wide panoramic view over the lively harbor. Afterwards, a short walk takes you to the coast, where the picturesque marina welcomes you. The promenade is full of charming restaurants and small cafés that invite you to linger.
