Its facade also immediately catches the eye. The striking red sandstone of the facade comes from the Estérel Mountains. Above the facade and the neoclassical portal rises the imposing dome at a height of 35 meters. The two side towers of the Basilica of Notre-Dame are adorned with gilded Madonna figures.
Only 24 km from the film city of Cannes, Plage du Veillat is well-suited for a family beach outing. The wide sandy beach slopes gently into the sea, making it ideal for small children to splash around. From Plage du Veillat, you have a wonderful view of the small island Île d’Or, with a tower rising in its center. Towards Cannes, the beach becomes rockier. Restaurants and cafes line the coastal section and invite you to linger.
