Trümmelbach Falls

The Trümmelbach Falls, which are an incredible ten glacier waterfalls inside the mountain, are fed by the glacier walls of some of the highest peaks in Switzerland: the Eiger, the Jungfrau, and the Mönch. You can reach Muerren by taking the cable car from Lauterbrunnen to Grütschalp and then leisurely by train. The ride with the aerial cableway from Stechelberg via Grimmelwald is thrilling. Up there, breathtaking views of the peaks of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau await you. Those who want to go higher can take the aerial cableway to the summit of the nearly 3,000-meter-high Schilthorn in 30 minutes and enjoy the fantastic view from the revolving restaurant Piz Gloria. Against a dramatic mountain backdrop, the small church of Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Oberland stands out. It was built in 1448 by the residents of the valley, initially against the resistance of the monastic community of nearby Interlaken. Eventually, the Bishop of Lausanne consecrated the church in 1448. Lauterbrunnen's church of the Evangelical Reformed community is dedicated to Saint Andrew. From June to September, it is warmest with maximum average temperatures between eleven and 16 degrees.
