The hike on and around the Rocca di Manerba is easy and characterized by breathtakingly beautiful panoramas. The route begins at the southern shore of Lake Garda in the village of Montinelle. Via Via Leutelmonte and Via Rocca, you reach the castle ruins. At the highest point, there is a summit cross.
The best starting point for the tour on Monte Pizzocolo is the parking bay shortly after the viewpoint Croce di Ortello, which you reach from Sanico via a rough gravel road. From here, you ascend via the southern ridge. The hiking trail leads in switchbacks through the cool forest.
The winding Ponale road begins in Riva del Garda on the shore of Lake Garda and ends after about 10 km in Ledro. In many parts, the road clings to the rocks. It passes through small tunnels and offers views of Monte Brione and Monte Altissimo.
A moderately difficult mountain hike suitable for families is the tour from Nago to Rifugio Altissimo Damiano Chiesa and up to Monte Altissimo di Nago. The hike is 7.8 kilometers long and you will overcome a total of 550 meters in altitude. Start from the hiking parking lot above Prato di Nago into this incomparable mountain landscape.
Lake Ledro is situated at an altitude of 665 meters at the eastern end of the Ledro Valley between Lake Garda and Lake Idro. On its shore are popular holiday destinations such as Molina di Ledro, Pieve di Ledro, and Mezzolago at the foot of Cima d’Oro. Numerous hiking trails run around the lake.
The hike takes about three hours, leading over the Colma di Malcesine and then along a marked path to the Bocca di Navene. Here you rest at the local inn before tackling the next stage and ascending to the Bocca di Creer.
The hiking route begins in San Nicolò in Bardolino. You pass several fortifications, some of which date back to the First World War. Worth seeing is the Forte Garda with its mighty bunker walls. From here, the route continues to the northeast. You have a wonderful view over Torbole.
