General info

Town situated 22 km south of "Valenca do Minho", 23 km north of "Braga" and 20 km east of "Viana do Castelo". Town crossed by a roman bridge, giving the town its name. Farming region where the famous "vinho verde" is produced. Monuments to visit: Capela do Anjo da Guarda, Santuario do Senhor do Socorro, Torres de Sao Paulo e da Cadeia. Fortnightly on the river there is a festival originating from the middle ages.
