196 m a.s.l. >>Ascona is the lowest-lying town in Switzerland. It lies 196 metres above sea level on the northern shore of Lake Maggiore. Ascona is famous for its old town, the southern lakeside promenade with its street cafés and its mild climate. In Ascona's old town centre, Borgo, lies the impressive church of San Pietro e Paolo, a pillared basilica from the 16th century, whose high bell tower is the landmark of the holiday resort. The branching old town streets lead to the car-free lakeside promenade with charming street cafés. Above Ascona lies Monte Verità, the mountain of truth. Here, lateral thinkers founded a colony at the beginning of the 20th century, which attracted celebrities from all over the world. Die Unterkunft befindet sich an einer Top-Lage. Betreuung optimal und freundlich. Kücheneinrichtung sehr spartanisch, nur 3 Pfannen für 6 Personen, kein Toaster, kein Wasserkocher. Fernseher mit Swisscom Programm ein Pluspunkt. Schade war auch, dass es im Kinderzimmer keine Nachtischlampen hatte.

Wir waren überrascht, wie grosszügig das Platzangebot war. Gute Geräuschdämmung (wichtig mit Hund). Super fanden wir die Ausstattung mit Waschmaschine und Tumbler. Schön grosser Balkon, nur der Tisch war etwas klein. Gut ausgestattete Küche mit diversen Kaffeemaschinen. Die Bratpfannen hingegen schreien nach Ersatz, weil stark zerkratzt. Gut bei Regenwetter war das TV-Angebot (Swisscom-TV). Insgesamt waren das tolle 14 Tage Ferien. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Wohnung ist geräumig, allerdings sehr hellhörig und für Menschen mit leichtem Schlaf nicht geeignet - was bei uns der Fall ist. Das zweite, kleinere Schlafzimmer wirkte ein wenig wie eine Abstellkammer, da dort neben Schrank, Regalen, Schreibtisch, Schreibtischstuhl auch noch zwei Gartenstühle und ein kleiner Tisch standen. Die Küche ist schön und gut ausgestattet. Das Haus an und für sich ist sehr ruhig. Die Bewohner haben vielleicht Rücksicht aufeinander genommen.

Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut, der Ausblick von der Terrasse schön. Kundenservice war gut. Leider ist die Wohnung nicht wie erwartet: - sehr ringhörig - Einrichtung / Möbel kaputt - Kücheneinrichtung lässt zu Wünschen übrig - Licht (Bad, Wohnzimmer) funktioniert nicht - Geruch in der Wohnung nicht sehr angenehm

Die Wohnung ist räumlich grosszügig, auch der Balkon, zweckmässig eingerichtet. Das Quartier ist ruhig. See und Zentrum können in kurzer Zeit zu Fuss erreicht werden. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Bushaltestelle in der Nähe. Etwas mehr Besteck in der Küche wäre ein Vorteil.
