With sloping ceilings, tasteful and cosy furnishings: living/dining room with 1 sofabed (160 cm, length 200 cm), 1 sleeping facility (1 x 90 cm, length 200 cm), cable TV, radio and CD-player. 1 room with 1 french bed (1 x 160 cm, length 200 cm). Small, open kitchen (oven, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, toaster, kettle, electric coffee machine, Capsules for coffee machine (Nespresso) extra, fondue Set (cheese)). Bath/shower/WC. 2 small balconies. Balcony furniture. Very beautiful view of the mountains and the valley. Facilities: iron, hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only.

Apartment block "Melodie". 700 m from the centre of Wengen, in a quiet, sunny position on a slope. In the house: central heating system. Pre-arrival grocery service. Shop, supermarket 700 m, restaurant 400 m, bar, bakery 700 m, 8 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Lauterbrunnen (by train)" 3.7 km, railway station "Wengen" 700 m, outdoor swimming pool 900 m. Cable car, skisport facilities 700 m, children's playground 450 m. Please note: car-free holiday complex. Arrival via mountain railway. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen – 14 minutes driving time.

1'274 m a.s.l. >>Famous, idyllic, car-free holiday resort with 1'300 inhabitants, on top of a hill, situated at the foot of a mountain, on a plateau with beautiful view, 12 km from Interlaken, 15 km from Grindelwald. In the resort: shops, grocery, bakery, post office, bank, restaurant, night club, cinema. Wellness centre. Besides: doctor. Sights Männlichen, Jungfraujoch, Schilthorn, Trümmelbachfälle, Schynige Platte, Harder, First. Access: no access to the resort by car, reachable only by railway. The journey is made by rack railway (extra) from Lauterbrunnen. Parking spaces available at the train station.

Summer

Heated outdoor swimming pool. Tennis (2 outdoor courts). Minigolf. Paragliding. Mountain lifts, cableways, hiking paths, mountain hikes, mountain tours, climbing, children's hiking paths. Mountain bikes for hire. Children's playground.

Winter

Ski-region Jungfrau-Top Ski Region, total of 43 lifts. Total 213 km ski runs (30 % easy, 50 % intermediate, 20 % difficult), snow park. Ski school (downhill), snowboard school, children's ski school, ski kindergarten. Winter walking paths 50 km. 4 toboggan runs. Artificial ice rink, curling. Free parking space for skis and ski boots at Central Sport.

The walk to the house is about 15 minutes, which isn't great when you have suitcases and backpacks. The apartment was clean and welcoming. The only complaint is the shower because the ceiling is so low. If you are above 5'3 you will need to sit or kneel in the showed to wash your hair. Two terraces overlooking the town. Good kitchen amenitites. The local grocery store closes at 6:30pm, so plan accordingly.

The apartment has an absolutely amazing view (though the only way to not have an amazing view in Wengen is because of a tree or another building) and is a great place to stay. It has a nice kitchen, cutely decorated, and was very enjoyable overall. Our singular complaint about the apartment is due to the low ceilings in spots, specifically the shower (you’ll be showering hunched over if you’re of average height). Overall, we recommend this place.

Petit appartement dans un chalet. Avec deux balcons avec une magnifique vue sur la vallée de Lauterbrunnen. On a pu prendre le petit-déjeuner au soleil sur l'un et manger le soir au soleil sur l'autre. Il est proche du centre (gare, coop) tout en étant isolé au calme. Appartement idéal pour un couple.
