Private: well-kept garden lawn and flowers. 200 m long very narrow motor access to the grounds. Public parking 200 m. Restaurant 200 m, bus stop 200 m, railway station "Ponte Tresa CH" 10 km, outdoor swimming pool 1 km, bathing lake "Laghetto Astano (Angeln möglich)" 1 km. Golf course (18 hole) 9 km, minigolf 9 km, walking paths from the house 1 m, mountain railway 5 km. Nearby attractions: Swissminiatur Melide 22 km, Chocolat Alprose, Caslano 10 km, Mercato Luino IT 11 km, Mercato Ponte Tresa IT 11 km. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Lago di Lugano, Caslano 10 km, Lago Maggiore 11 km. Location Description Malcantone

270 - 900 m a.s.l. >>In Malcantone (Region Lake Lugano) there are 26 hamlets at different altitude ranging from 270 m to 900 m above sea level. They vary from pretty little villages near the lake to the larger one on top of the hill: Malcantone. Very fascinating region with a wide choice for your holiday: lake, lovely hilly landscape, mountains up to 1600 m high. Worth a visit to Monte Lema with the cable car as far as Miglieglia. Malcantone is a well kept secret holiday resort. In the resort: shops, restaurant. Indoor aquatic centre. More possibilities for shopping and entertainment 8 - 15 km. Excursions to Luino and Ponte Tresa.

Astano est un très joli village typique du Tessin avec un petit lac où l'on peut se baigner. Nous avons voyagé en transports publics depuis la Suisse romande et c'est tout à fait possible. Le petit magasin du village permet de subvenir à l'essentiel ou alors il faut aller jusqu'à Novaggio pour trouver un magasin un peu plus grand. Pour qui veut se resourcer, vivre au rythme de la nature et qui aime randonner c'est une région idéale. La maison est très bien équipée et l'accueil chaleureux.

Der Urlaub war sehr schön und erholsam, auch dank der ruhigen Lage und der schönen Terrasse mit Blick ins Grüne. Das Haus ist groß genug für sechs Personen, die Küche ist fantastisch ausgestattet. Dadurch, dass man recht schnell in Italien ist, kann man dort recht günstig einkaufen und Essen gehen. Der Lago Maggiore und der Luganersee sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar.

Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück, in 2-3 Minuten im Dorf, Sackgasse, etwas enge Dusche, modernste Küche, komplizierte Schwingtüren auf den Gartensitzplatz, da wir nur zu zweit waren viel Raum. Einfache Kommunikation mit der Schlüsselperson vor Ort.

Das Haus ist sehr gut gelegen für Wanderfreunde, gut eingerichtet, schöner Garten. Genügend Platz in und ums Haus. Zufehrt vom Dorf her durch sehr enge Gassen, grössere Autos oder Vans haben eher Mühe durch die engen Gässchen zum Haus zu fahren.

Very clean, quite, well equipped, with nice garden, remote location, road in Astano is very narrow, so you might preffer to park car on public parking 300m down in village. Small shop and limited restaurants nearby. A lot to see and do in lugano area. There were some noise from house renovation nearby, but not so bad. Shops in italy open on sunday - same time/distance.
