196 m a.s.l. >>Ascona is the lowest-lying town in Switzerland. It lies 196 metres above sea level on the northern shore of Lake Maggiore. Ascona is famous for its old town, the southern lakeside promenade with its street cafés and its mild climate. In Ascona's old town centre, Borgo, lies the impressive church of San Pietro e Paolo, a pillared basilica from the 16th century, whose high bell tower is the landmark of the holiday resort. The branching old town streets lead to the car-free lakeside promenade with charming street cafés. Above Ascona lies Monte Verità, the mountain of truth. Here, lateral thinkers founded a colony at the beginning of the 20th century, which attracted celebrities from all over the world. Today, the mountain is a seminar centre for the universities of Lucerne and Zurich and a museum shows the history of the alternative colony and its founders. Das einzige, das mühsam war, ist, dass wir den Schlüsselcode extra mitten in Locarno holen mussten. Den könnte man auch per Mail bekannt geben und die Kurzaxe sonst belasten. Ansonsten ist die Unterkunft traumhaft und einwandfrei!

Tout est magnifique dans l'appartement que ce soit la vue, le calme ou les installations cuisine/salle de bains. Seul petit bémol mais qui a toute son importance : la place de parc n'est pas pratique ;-(
